Burnt wood paneling

Ligni linea is a warm wood finish that creates a unique balance between naturalness, durability and modern aesthetics. Our production is based on traditional Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technology, which we combine with modern production and a responsible approach to sustainability.

Our goal is not only to produce, but create surfaces that tell a storyBurnt wood opens up new design possibilities – from minimalist modern facades to warm, natural interiors.

We recommend choosing burnt wood siding for facade decoration, because the burning process naturally strengthens the wood's resistance to moisture, insects, and ultraviolet rays, and the chosen oil color or combination of several colors gives your creation even greater uniqueness.

In the interior, Burnt wood gives a sense of naturalness and coziness, where the expressive wood texture creates a picture of dancing branches. To enhance the impression, you can choose burnt wood boards covered in a double color, for example, black with a golden sheen, silver mica or the bleached boards loved by Lithuanians. Yes, burnt boards can even have white shades.

And if you are looking for non-standard solutions for exterior or interior wall decoration, we definitely have something to offer. Since we produce the boards ourselves, we can offer profiles that our competitors do not have. Important to know:

Burnt wood siding must be fastened only with stainless steel screws or nails.

Burnt wood siding changes color when exposed to UV, so the colors change differently.
We recommend that you consult how the chosen color will look after some time.

The cut areas of the board need to be burned and oiled.

Evaluate the questions presented and
decide if it's right for you

I will spend time maintaining the terrace. Yes. No.

If you are a very busy person and renovating your terrace is like a nightmare, we recommend that you do not choose wooden planks. Instead, consider tiles, etc.

Do you prefer wood products? Does it matter?

If you don't feel the need for the heat provided by wood, we recommend choosing
products that require less maintenance.

How much time will you spend on the terrace? Sometimes. Every day.

Evaluate what emotion this environment should evoke.

Are you planning large gatherings or dances on the terrace?

This is important for base preparation.

Do you have small children who are likely to "crawl" on the terrace?

If Yes, it is better to choose smooth, soft, planed boards. For example. Thermo wood terrace boards.

Will you walk barefoot?

If yes, it is worth choosing wooden terrace boards, including burnt wood terrace boards. Such boards will not be very hot on a hot summer day, and on a cool day, they will naturally warm your feet. That is the charm of natural wood.

Advantages:

  • Burnt boards have a pronounced textured surface, so they will not be as slippery compared to smooth decking boards.
  • Burnt terrace boards coated with oil of your choice blend perfectly with the surroundings of the house.
  • Burnt boards last longer than plain or impregnated spruce boards.
  • Caring for burnt wood decking boards is easy.

Disadvantages:

  • Burnt decking boards may develop splinters (splinters) over time, like larch boards. This is important to consider if "little feet" run on the decking.
  • Color changes over time. Burnt wood products are constantly changing color when exposed to UV rays. So don't be surprised if the color doesn't stay consistent across the entire patio. For example, under furniture or in the shade.
  • Burnt wood decking boards are not scratch-resistant, so they are not recommended for use in public areas or areas subject to intense mechanical stress.

Terrace maintenance

It should be remembered that any wooden terrace requires maintenance, so the boards should be re-oiled once a year or less often, depending on visual needs, in order to preserve the service life and aesthetic appearance of the wood.

Burnt wood: natural, durable, ready to install

If you are looking for a warm, natural and sustainable choice for your terrace, we invite you to choose burnt wood planks made from carefully selected Finnish spruce: after burning and brushing, the pattern is highlighted, and the double coating of oil in the chosen color allows them to be installed immediately.
